Happy weekend and welcome to the kitchen of Brigitte and Ivan. He is one of the witty boys from Atypyk and she is a fashion designer and a fantastic cook. Good taste is something really nice. Especially when it comes to cooking and decoration. I’ve found both in this cozy little Parisian kitchen, which is packed with original details and great style.

So today I’ll share with you my inspiration of the week. The Linnman Gallery. Mia Linnman from the great blog Solid Frog will open in September together with her man a very nice and inspiring gallery in Jönköping, Sweden. It will be a place for creativity, art, design and interior design. Check it out – it’s gonna be something great!

As promised, some impressions of the DMY - International Design Festival Berlin. Big name – small festival. It was worth it to pass by, because the location rocks and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. I have run into a lot of people from the good old days in the Netherlands and I noticed that time flies – too fast.

Oh yes! Every time we travel to Paris, I definitely find my happiness with Atypyk. I admire the two very creative and charming Frenchmen for the great ideas and the positive energy they spread. We have been friends for a while and I have to admit that I’m their biggest fan. You can find really cool gadgets in their little showroom at 17, rue Lambert at the bottom of Montmartre.

Who is in the mood for a time out in nature and extreme serenity?
Villa Vals in Switzerland is one of the coolest and unique holiday homes I’ve come across. I just can’t get enough of dutch design melting with alpine romance. This Place made it straight away into the top ten of my to-do-list 2011. Wouldn’t it be fun to enjoy some days of Heidi life in this extraordinary cabin? After a long day at the famous spa Therme Vals , which is just around the mountain corner, it must be heaven to get cozy on a Hella Jongerious couch and fall asleep covered by some Claudy Jongstra blankets…

Guess what, today I finally made it into a wool shop and I sped my entire money afternoon trying to make a choice. Didn’t expect that it would be that difficult!!! Finally I left the shop with a big smile, lots of wool and a very positive feeling about no more boring winter evenings and very cashmere winter days!
