I love May! The best time of the year. The best time to take a break, to go on a long weekend trip and to celebrate birthday. I’m so in the mood for a great escape. Château de la Resle is my all time favorite when it comes to spending a relaxed weekend in the French countryside. Have a great week and a fabulous May!
coffee please!
A good coffee in the morning makes my day! For years I have been very bialetti, until I tasted a Belgium drip coffee. My friend was using a simple filter and ever since I am so melitta. I fell in love with this beautiful ceramic filter, bought it and took it home. Using freshly ground coffee is the best there is. The coffee is so mild and soft with an amazing flavor. Believe it or not – I turned into an early bird! Just love it when the apartment smells like coffee all morning.

There is no trip to Paris without a quick stop at the “World’s first Atypyk store”. It’s always so much fun to discover new products and ideas. Since the Les Mauvaises Graines store has moved into the neighborhood it’s double worth it to discover the area on the bottom of Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre.

Les Mauvaises Graines
My passion for concept stores took me all the way to the less touristic part of Montmartre in Paris.
The urban gardening store Les Mauvaises Graines is a really cool and original place, run by two very sympathetic guys, who turned out to be the neighbors and lunch-mates of the Atypyk boys. What a nice surprise! We had a good lunch all together and I’ve been so happy about the new discovery.

My latest discovery is the lovely back to basic store Kontinentalwaren in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
The philosophy of this shop is “slow shopping”. The carefully selected products are exclusively manufactured in Europe and support conscious shopping. I have found there my new favorite object, a traditional porcelain coffee filter. The coffee is as amazing as this shop!

Saddle up!
Horses and Hermes is a dream come true for all the horse lovers with style. I’ve found it all at the stable of Château de la Resle. Facing so much passion for this giant animals totally melted my hippophobic heart.
I’m gonna saddle up and canter into the French orange sunset. Allez hop!
