kontinentalwaren

My latest discovery is the lovely back to basic store Kontinentalwaren in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
The philosophy of this shop is “slow shopping”. The carefully selected products are exclusively manufactured in Europe and support conscious shopping. I have found there my new favorite object, a traditional porcelain coffee filter. The coffee is as amazing as this shop!

It got cold in Berlin. Very cold. Far too cold!
I am looking so badly forward to spring. Until than I go back under the cozy blanket, keep my feet warm and make plans …

Saddle up!

Horses and Hermes is a dream come true for all the horse lovers with style. I’ve found it all at the stable of Château de la Resle. Facing so much passion for this giant animals totally melted my hippophobic heart.
I’m gonna saddle up and canter into the French orange sunset. Allez hop!

The perfect Saturday morning: a long walk down memory lane with my good old friend Caroline and her lovely mum having breakfast at the cozy Restaurant Pasternak in Berlin.

What does it take to make your Saturday morning a really good one?

Happy weekend and welcome to the kitchen of Brigitte and Ivan. He is one of the witty boys from Atypyk and she is a fashion designer and a fantastic cook. Good taste is something really nice. Especially when it comes to cooking and decoration. I’ve found both in this cozy little Parisian kitchen, which is packed with original details and great style.

Spending time in Brittany has been very relaxing and full of surprises. After some days in the outback, I was so ready for a little shopping tour in Pont-Aven. There was not much going on. A couple of antique stores and some tourist shops. Just before my good mood turned bad, I have made a great discovery on the 1st floor of Chocolaterie Larnicol. Hôtel Lulu, an amazing vintage shop packed with lovely details, jewelery and great outfits. So unexpected and so pretty. Unfortunately this place is not a hotel, but I like the idea of it. If you are in the area and you want to get the look of Coco Chanel or Audrey Hepburn, then this is the place to be!

Château de la Resle

Traveling by car all the way to Paris is a long and exciting adventure. Especially if you are taking a break at Château de la Resle in the heart of Burgundy, France. This luxury bed and breakfast has been the cherry on the cake of our trip. The Dutch sweethearts Pieter and Johan turned this place into a dream come true. Lovely rooms with great style, an amazing selection of contemporary art and a breakfast to kill for, makes you wanna stay there forever. There is so much more to share about this great place that I have to split the post. So stay tuned for more la Resle stories.

For everybody who enjoys shopping as much as I do, the concept store Merci is definitely one of the “Must Do’s” in Paris. I am always carried away by the fantastic shop settings and the nice atmosphere. … and surprised how much money we can spend in a place like this. Great, that the benefit goes to charity projects and won’t be wasted!
My “Paris-to do list” will be continued! Stay tuned!
